Happy New Year!

Hope you have all had a great Holiday. I've been busy developing the new Curiosity.Haus website with an extensive section on our markets to make applying and finding out all our information even easier. It's looking great and will be finished in a few weeks time, when I will also be announcing all our exciting plans for 2011. You can still visit our old website here .

Meanwhile, thank you to everyone who exhibited and came along to visit our Christmas markets at Sneinton Market and Broadway Cinema. Both turned out to be excellent days and the quality of crafts and design on offer was amazing! As part of the new website, I have been creating flickr sets to archive all our past events over the past 2 years. This is proving to be a time consuming task but it will be worth it! Take a look at the events u ploaded so far: The pics of the snowy November market at Sneinton Square look lovely! Broadway Christmas Fair images will also be added soon. 2011 Events
Thanks to everyone who has emailed about our upcoming markets. As Sneinton Square is being redeveloped, we are currently feeling a bit homeless. The plan is to hold a Valentine's market on the weekend of 12th/13th February and I am currently in discussion with new venues to house our event! This of course means the application and selection process will have a very speedy turn around. I will be sending out information at the end of this week. Apples and Pears and Crafty Wares is the Arts market established in May 2009 by curiosity.haus. We have expanded to be able to offer nearly 30 stall holders the chance to sell on Sneinton Market with like-minded designers and quality sellers. Please browse through this blog for pictures showing a flavour of our previous events.

The recently refurbished Hopkinson Gallery will host 'Apples and Pears..' arts market on June the 5th. Come and check out the eclectic mix of arts, crafts and fashion items on offer. From textiles to jewellery, canvases to vintage clothing, illustration to t-shirts, bringing together some of the finest designer makers, artists and crafters Nottingham has to offer. The perfect place to buy from independent makers.

There will also be entertainment with live music on the day.

On 24th April, Nottingham City Council will be showcasing the new plans for Sneinton Market Square alongside Apples and Pears and Crafty Wares. Check out the info below;

As part of the Connecting Eastside project, Sneinton Square will be transformed into a new high quality public square, which will help to regenerate the Eastside area.

Sneinton Square proposed design - tell us what you think

Come along to Sneinton Market on Saturday 24th April between 10am-3pm and tell us what you think of the proposed design for Sneinton Square.

You will be able to enjoy the Apples and Pears and Crafty Wares market, and find out about other redevelopment projects in the area.

Anyone taking part in the Sneinton Square design consultation will have a chance to win a digital camera.

Apples and Pears... is the great new Arts Market held every fourth Saturday of the month at Sneinton Market, Nottingham.

Come and check out the eclectic mix of arts, crafts and fashion items on offer. From textiles to jewelery, canvases to vintage clothing, bringing together some of the finest designer makers, artists and crafters, from established designers to local students and graduates.

The market was set up by curiosity.haus in May 2009 as a platform for independent creatives to showcase and sell their wares, running alongside the regular Sneinton Market where you can also buy bananas and big knickers!
